Public Strategies Impact Announces Strategic Partnership with The BGill Group

Gill has more than 20 years of experience in campaign management, government and public affairs, most recently serving as Campaign Manager for New Jersey Governor-Elect Phil Murphy’s successful primary and general election campaigns.

Gill’s earlier government experience includes serving as a Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Cory Booker, State Director for the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (New Jersey’s longest serving U.S. Senator), District Director for Congressman Steve Rothman, Aide to Congressman Bill Pascrell, Chief of Staff to Assemblyman Peter Eagler and Communications Director for the New Jersey Department of Transportation under two commissioners. Gill was elected to the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders in 2011, 2014 and 2017 and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board.

In addition to his government roles, Gill has extensive campaign experience. He served as the campaign manager for the successful election of Governor-Elect Phil Murphy in both the primary and general elections in 2017.  He managed U.S. Senator Cory Booker’s 2014 reelection campaign as well as the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg’s 2008 primary and general election campaigns, helping him become the longest serving U.S. Senator in New Jersey history. His campaign experience also includes working for Congressman Albio Sires’ first congressional race in 2006, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez’s 2006 campaign, where Gill served as the Statewide Field Director, managing Congressman Bill Pascrell’s reelection campaign in 2000 as well as working on numerous county and municipal races throughout New Jersey.

Gill has been recognized for his leadership and public service, being selected to the 2017 NJBIZ Power 100 and being named by Insider NJ as the Political Operative of the Year for 2016 and 2017. He was named New Jersey’s Most Powerful Elected Official for 2014/2015 on PolitickerNJ. He was also number four on Insider NJ’s Most Relevant Elected Official list for 2017. He was named a New Jersey Rising Star in the Asbury Park Press and has received awards from the New Jersey Department of Transportation and Blue Wave New Jersey. Currently, Gill serves as Vice President of the New Jersey Association of Counties. He also serves on the Board of Seton Hall University Alumni Board of Directors and the New Jersey State Bike and Walk Coalition. He is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Municipal Democratic Chair in Montclair, New Jersey.

A lifelong resident of Essex County, Gill attended Montclair Public Schools and graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He currently resides in Montclair with his wife and two children.
