Elaine J. Hagaman
Director of Administration

Elaine J. Hagaman came to Public Strategies Impact after more than 10 years' experience with the NJ Legislature, where she served with the Office of Legislative Services and the NJ General Assembly Majority Office. As Director of Administration for the Assembly Majority Office, she was responsible for coordinating the operations of floor sessions and overseeing office and information management systems for the Assembly staff and legislative district offices.

Ms. Hagaman joined the staff of Public Strategies in 1986. As Director of Administration for Public Strategies Impact, she coordinates legislative bill tracking and information services, government affairs compliance and office technology.

Ms. Hagaman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications and Theatre from Trenton State College.

Joanne Lombardi, CMP
Director of Convention and Meetings Management

Ms. Lombardi is a veteran of the Association Management profession, working for the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers for eight years before joining Public Strategies Impact in 1992. In addition to serving as the Director of Convention and Meetings Management she also is the Managing Supervisor for the Association Staff.

Ms. Lombardi earned the Certified Meeting Professional designation, the foremost certification of the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry, in January 1994. She has been a member of the New Jersey Society of Association Executives since 1986 and has served as a member of that organization’s Board of Directors from 1994 through 2000. She is a graduate of Douglass College, Rutgers University.

Karen Reiser
Director, Financial Services

Ms. Reiser is an 11 year veteran with Public Strategies Impact, having joined the firm in 1998. She handles all financial responsibilities for Government Relations and Association Management, including contract administration and PAC filings. In addition, she is responsible for payroll, employee health insurance, the 401(k) program and business insurance. Ms. Reiser attended Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Kelly Biddle
Membership Services Coordinator
Ms. Biddle supports the Association Management team, assisting members of the associations we serve in a variety of functions and working to project a professional image for them. She serves as a staff liaison, processing updates to Websites, newsletters, handbooks and membership rolls. She directs sales efforts for advertising in the member handbooks and newsletters.

She was graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1991 and went on to attend Stockton State College, majoring in business. Prior to joining Public Strategies Impact she held positions with the New Jersey Department of Higher Education and the Educational Testing Service.

Patricia J. Brewer
Associate Director Meetings & Conventions

Ms. Brewer is responsible for organizing meetings and conventions. This includes determining hotel logistics, such as menus, audio/visual requirements, room reservations, overall setup of the facility, tradeshow and exhibit arrangements, coordination of educational programs, meeting database creation & maintenance, and web-based registration setup.

She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College). Ms. Brewer was a history major and her course of study included an emphasis in English, Spanish and Religion. She is a member of Phi Alpha Theta, national History Honor Society, Inc.

Lori Lee
Executive Assistant

Ms. Lee assists the executive director by performing various support functions, including general correspondence, meetings coordination and travel arrangements.  She is responsible for the preparation of agenda’s for the Executive & Board Committee meetings, maintaining clients’ calendars, and maintaining officer and committee lists. She prepares meeting notices and tracks responses. She is a graduate of West Windsor/Plainsboro High School.

Mary Leone
Executive Assistant

Ms. Leone joined Public Strategies Impact in 1991. She serves as Executive Assistant to the partners and her responsibilities include scheduling appointments and meetings for the partners and sending legislative information and updates to our clients.

Prior to joining Public Strategies Impact, Mary worked in various departments of state government, including four years with the Byrne administration and a shorter time with the Kean administration.

M. Susan Nemeth
Executive Assistant

Ms. Nemeth joined Public Strategies Impact in February 2001, after previously serving as Executive Assistant and Government Relations Secretarial Manager at the New Jersey Business and Industry Association. In addition to providing administrative support, she arranges strategic meetings with state government agencies and legislative offices in New Jersey.

She has studied secretarial science at Rider University, and has continued her studies at Computer Training Solutions and the Institute of Business Careers.

Laura Slomka
Event Manager

Laura Slomka enjoys over 25 years experience in the area of fundraising and event management.

Over the years she has raised funds for numerous political candidates, including Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Governor Christie Whitman, Congressman Jim Courter, Congressman Bob Franks, State Senators Tom Kean, Joe Kyrillos, Tony Bucco and many other state legislators. In addition, Ms. Slomka has coordinated events for many prestigious non-profit organizations including the Mikail Gorbachev Foundation, the Megan Nicole Kanka Foundation, NCSL (The National Council of State Governments), the Archdiocese of New York CYO, the New Jersey Network Gala, and the Boys and Girls Club of Newark.

A graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, Ms Slomka is a frequent lecturer at the Rutgers University Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Christie Todd Whitman Excellence in Public Service Series.

Melanie Utley
Executive Assistant

Ms. Utley joined the firm in 2004. She serves as Executive Assistant to the partners and associates. Ms. Utley manages PSI's legislative data bank and is responsible for distribution of regulatory proposals. Ms. Utley also serves as PSI's receptionist.
